Burst Fx Study: Operative Management of Pediatric Thoracolumbar Spinal Trauma
This study is currently in β TESTING Phase.
The β-testing sites are the following institutions: Le Bonheur Children’s/Campbell Clinic (CAMPBELL), Colorado Children’s (COLORADO), Rady Children’s (RADY), and UCSF Benioff Children’s (UCSF) with Boston Children’s (BCH) as the lead site.
The materials for the study are found below:
1. Protocol: Please see attached document containing protocol for this study.
2. Data Entry Guide: Your guide to searching for patients, identifying eligible patients, and conducting data entry.
3. Appendix: Additional details that clarify screening, diagnostic/procedural codes, and eligibility.
3. β-Launch Training Video and Presentation: The site-introduction training based on our meeting (03.06.2026) led by the BCH Team (Saurav, Jack, and Dr. Birch). The video includes information on data entry, general housekeeping, and details on specific imaging and spine trauma classifications.
4. Excel Template for Imaging Classification: Recommended Excel template for your sites’ respective PI to utilize in completing the AO and TLICS classification.
